Tell us about yourself.

I’m a singer-songwriter, professional makeup artist, and entrepreneur. I moved to Los Angeles in 2016 from Salt Lake City to pursue my passions. Since releasing my first single, “See Me”, in July 2017, I’ve been writing and recording music while also working on several other projects. In-between expanding my clothing brand and launching my upcoming skincare line (@metos.skin), I’m also a social media influencer and content creator!

What does “Your Best You” mean to you?

We often get so caught up in other’s opinions about us and we start to lose sight of what is really important. “Your best You” to me means I am living my life to its fullest and not caring what anyone has to say about it! Not letting the unsolicited/ negative opinions of others dull my sparkle! Life is too short and too crazy to try and please others. Do you and be yourself always!

When do you feel most authentically yourself?

I feel most authentically myself when I am around people that love and believe in me and see me for who I am! I fully believe that if you give out positivity, you will get it back! What goes around really does come back around. I choose to surround myself with only positivity and that allows me to be the happiest I can be and the most authentically me.

Favorite way to express your individuality?

One of my favorite ways to express my individuality is by doing makeup! I really love the transformation of it and it is totally like therapy for me!

What does Pride mean to you? How will you celebrate?

Pride to me means being proud of who I am, no matter how weird or different I think I am. It means taking pride in my differences and allowing those differences to make me feel beautiful! It means constantly trying to remind myself that I am amazing no matter what. Most of the time we are our own worst critic and we can constantly beat ourselves up about our insecurities. Pride to me is celebrated 365 days of the year, but I do like that whenever “Pride Month” comes along, it is an extra reminder to tell myself that who I am is OKAY and that it is AMAZING and FIERCE! Like I said, I try to celebrate it every day – but this year I am celebrating by frolicking around in my new favorite shoes, throwing glitter all over myself and keeping my chin up!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Everything will be okay, stay strong and always look towards the future! Whatever dreams you have can and WILL come true if you always continue to believe in yourself!

Who inspires you to become Your Best You?

My parents and my fans have always been that inspiration and now I can also say my amazing boyfriend Max. I still can’t believe I found somebody that truly sees me for who I am and loves me no matter what. He really pushes me to do more of what I love each day and to be my most authentic self. He makes me feel proud to be the unique individual that I am, and inspires me to focus on what I really want out of life.

If you could share one message with the LANE EIGHT community, what would it be?

Wear dope shoes and live your life! Live for yourself and NO ONE else! Also, a little glitter makes everything better (;
