March is Women’s History Month, and here at LANE EIGHT we’re celebrating by featuring women from our community who inspire us. You might know some of them, you might not, but each of them has shown us what it means to be “Your Best You.”
With our #YourBestYou series, we’re sharing some of our favorite stories of perseverance, hope, and aspiration from our LANE EIGHT community of Everyday Athletes! For our latest feature we caught up with Tyra Arleezia. A fan favorite here at LANE EIGHT for her knack for mixing and matching colors, she’s got an infectious enthusiasm that we just can’t get enough of!
What keeps her motivated and moving? Head below to find out more!

Tell us about yourself.
My name is Tyra Arleezia, and I’m a 25-year-old Kansas resident born and raised. I find joy in the little things in this life and delight in making others happy and feel that they are worthy of the love they deserve. Growing up, I always said my one goal was to make people around me happy. However, I had no idea how to go about it! Growing my platform by focusing on fitness has given me the opportunity to reach thousands and (hopefully!) one day millions, sharing with them the love that I think we should all be sharing with one another. I am excited to continue on my journey of sharing kindness as I strive towards one of my largest goals, modelling, which is an area of my life/vision that I haven’t fully tapped into yet.
What does “Your Best You” mean to you?
In my opinion “Your Best You” means to truly tap into all that you are meant to become. I talk about this all of the time on my page but I wholeheartedly believe that we are limitless and we can do just about anything in this life that we put our minds, hard work and dedication to. For me it’s learning to go from “good” to “great” while always remembering “you don’t have to be great to start but you have to start to be great.”
How did you discover LANE EIGHT?
I first discovered LANE EIGHT through Instagram and more specifically my bestie’s platform. I got to see the shoes first hand and noticed immediately the quality was immaculate. Plus, I always love a sustainable product!
How have you dealt with what 2020 has thrown at you?
Honestly, I reminded myself daily that I was the only person that could make my dreams come true and grow, and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me no matter what came my way. So instead of succumbing to the events and curveballs that came my way, I simply adjusted my crown and kept moving forward!
How do you plan on taking on 2021?
2020 I believe, was a foundational year. Some things had to be torn apart or removed in order to make space for what’s to come here in 2021 and beyond! My plan of execution for 2021 is to allow the good things flow. I plan on taking on 2021 by removing my love for what was once my comfort zone and stretch myself outside of the bounds of what I am or have been used to.
Who is someone you look up to that embraces the “Your Best You” lifestyle and why do you look up to them?
I feel like for me, this question is way too easy! By far I look up to my bestie Libby. If “Your Best You” was a person it would definitely be her! As far as a lifestyle, she chooses to go about everyday continuously ‘becoming’ her best self and showing others that they are more than capable of doing that as well. I admire her because she isn’t swayed by this platform/space we work in. She is genuinely the person she is on the gram and off of it as well. I truly think she is the best definition of limitless and what it means not to be defined by your circumstance but instead keep your head high, be yourself and continuously move forward.
What self-care rituals do you do to feel your best physically and mentally?
I preach this but SELF-LOVE is key and essential. It’s all about what you say to yourself behind closed doors and how you are treating yourself. We get one temple in this life and it’s up to us to love it & nourish it appropriately.
What’s your number one advice for people who are struggling with their own wellness journey?
My number one piece of advice is to block out the noise of others and don’t compare yourselves to others and the journey that they are on because each of our journeys are unique. I always encourage people to figure out what really works best for them versus what their friends or favorite influencer may be doing.
What do you love about LANE EIGHT?
I love that LANE EIGHT has helped to make training easy and sustainability recognized.
What do you want to see in LANE EIGHT in the future?
Future-wise I would love to see LANE EIGHT come in a variance of different styles and definitely more colors. I am also so excited for the day that more countries are added to the ‘ship to’ list. I cannot wait for more people to get their hands on some LANE EIGHTs.
If you could share one message with the LANE EIGHT community, what would it be?
You are capable of achieving anything that your heart desires and on the other side of all of your hard work is opportunity!
First travel destination post-COVID?
I actually never have had the opportunity to really travel. I’ve never been to a beach either but I would love to check out one of the many beautiful beaches in Oregon!
