What does “Your Best You” mean to you?
It means to work on myself every day both mentally and physically, and emotionally grow into the most sound and healthy version of myself that I can be.
How did you discover LANE EIGHT?
I found LANE EIGHT when they were a very small company, in March of 2020 through Instagram!
How have you dealt with what 2020 has thrown at you?
I’ve learned to use patience every day and to be understanding of my own emotions, thoughts, and actions through each day. I feel that 2020 was a year to learn and take a step back — a year to reflect and take time by myself to know who I am while focusing on my mental and physical health.
How do you plan on taking on 2021?
Slow and steady at first as life allows but I would love to travel and see new places and cultures with those that I love. I want to achieve new goals and develop new passions.
Who is someone you look up to that embraces the “Your Best You” lifestyle and why do you look up to them?
One of my best friends, Tyra, who works every day to better herself in her personal life and professional life. She has taught me patience and self love over the last year and I am extremely grateful that despite all of the chaos of 2020, I was blessed with her to join my life
What self-care rituals do you do to feel your best physically and mentally?
I wake up and journal every single day, I write down affirmations and positive intentions for the day or week ahead. I make sure to drink greens or water in the morning and to fuel my body properly for my day. I make sure to stay active in some way every day as it makes me feel sounder and in tune with my body but I also am always making sure that I am aware of how I’m feeling, I take naps if they’re necessary and I allow myself days to just chill out.
What’s your number one advice for people who are struggling with their own wellness journey?
Focus on where you want for yourself, from yourself. Think about what you are in control of and be sure to understand would like to be mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Make effort each day and create a list of smaller attainable goals that will set you up for success to be the best version of yourself on your wellness journey.
What do you love about LANE EIGHT?
The culture and community that LANE EIGHT has. I love the sense of family that LANE EIGHT promotes — I also love the fact that by wearing these shoes, we are contributing to making more eco-friendly purchases and decisions in our daily life with things or products that we use daily.
What do you want to see in LANE EIGHT in the future?
A large variety of shoe styles and colors to choose from — I’m excited to see LANE EIGHT grow and develop into a household name!
If you could share one message with the LANE EIGHT community, what would it be?
By being part of this community, I’m proud of you for taking a step toward bettering yourself! A bad day is still a luxury ™ and you look badass in your LANE EIGHTS.
